TESTIMONALS

Below you can see some testimonials from our clients and customers.

  • Throughout my tenure as DofE Manager at a large independent school for boys, Adventure Training & Expeditions provided training and expeditions at both Gold and Silver level, including unforgettable overseas expeditions to Madagascar and Slovenia. It is difficult to imagine a higher  quality service; no stone was left unturned during the planning - particularly with regard to safety - and the delivery of training and expeditions was first-rate.

In my experience, companies in this market are prone to overlooking the importance of efficient administration; Scott and his team provide clear, efficient communication, as well as a great deal of help with regard to the planning of training and expeditions. This training is very high quality, and delivered in a fun, engaging manner.  Indeed, Scott and his highly experience and professional team always struck an excellent rapport with our DofE participants while never lowering their high expectations.  As a result, boys who were taught, supervised and assessed by Adventure Training & Expeditions were certainly challenged, but also very much enjoyed the DofE expeditions section. Furthermore, as DofE manager, I derived huge peace of mind in knowing that the safety of our pupils was never in any doubt, even in the remotest parts of Madagascar.

I cannot recommend Adventure Training & Expeditions highly enough. If you want your DofE participants to get the most out of their expedition section by receiving high quality preparation and to be challenged while also enjoying themselves, then this is the company for you.

  • I attended the Explorer Medicine First Aid course to supplement my Basic Expedition Leadership training and found it to be an invaluable days training.  The course was superb in that it linked First Aid skills to the outdoors and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.  A large part of the training involved practical activities and learning which improved my understanding of First Aid dramatically.  The knowledge displayed by Scott throughout the course was fantastic.  I would strongly recommend the Explorer Medicine First Aid course to anyone wishing to gain a First Aid qualification used in the outdoors.

  • Last year I did my BEL training and assessment with you and we talked about how to become a Mountain Leader. It encouraged me to do the Training course and now after almost two years of training and practice and a very wet and windy camp on a Welsh Mountain last night, I finally passed my Mountain Leader Assessment today, needless to say I'm very pleased...

Many thanks for the encouragement and an excellent BEL course that made the ML training a lot easier than it would have been.

  • Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thank you very much for a really good informative week during the BEL Training. I have been really busy the last week or so or would have emailed you sooner. I really enjoyed the course and felt like I got a lot from it which I have already started to apply to our own DofE sessions at school.

  • I first met Scott when undertaking my Level 3 BEL training with Adventure Training & Expeditions. I have attended many training courses over the years, with many different companies and I can honestly say that the one Scott delivered was the most fun, informative and practical I have ever completed.

Following my training I asked Scott to support me in my role as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Manager at Cranbrook School. Scott, Michelle and their team came alongside me, training over two hundred participants, delivering the Bronze Expedition Training Framework and six expedition weekends (practice and assessed). They also successfully deliver a Level 2 Award in Assisting in Basic Expedition Leadership to a number if our Gold Award participants.

I have learnt a huge amount but, most importantly, I have learnt everything I have needed to confidently run a Programme and lead our own expeditions. They are both extremely patient, hugely talented and always go beyond what is expected, reasonable or otherwise, and I have no hesitation in recommending Adventure Training & Expeditions.

  • I have been on two international expeditions in the past: one led by Scott, and one by Michelle. In each case they both demonstrated a very special combination of friendliness and professionalism. It is important in my opinion that expedition leaders maintain high standards of health & safety, and professionalism whilst still being party to the amazing adventures and fun that the young people are experiencing. Following these expeditions, I asked Scott to design and implement a D of E bronze training schedule for my school. The pupils enjoyed his teaching style, and have shown real progress. After a highly successful year, I have asked Scott to return for this year for more bronze training.

  • I attended Scott's BEL course along with a colleague as part of my career development, to enable us to take groups out in to the countryside. The qualification also coaxed me into be involved with D of E in a school in Ashford. The Basic Expedition Leadership course was without a doubt the most interesting course I have been on and as a PEI I have attended a hell of allot of courses. Scott's teaching style is excellent, and encompasses all learning types needs. The course covers everything you will need to know about leading walks in lowland countryside as well as 2 qualifications in navigation, bronze and silver. The part I enjoyed most was the night navigation. We have since enrolled 2 other lads who work with us on the BEL course and have added Adventure Training & Expeditions to our finance list of accredited trainers. I have recommended this course to others and if you are outdoorsy type I would recommend it to you.

  • Dear Miss B,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your hard work with DofE this year. My daughter really enjoyed herself on both expeditions and I heard many girls commenting how much they enjoyed having you there with them.

I don’t know if I have an email address for Scott at Adtrex but I wondered if you could also pass on my thanks to Scott and his team. Going into this as a parent, it was quite daunting letting our daughters go off on their first practice expedition but it soon became very clear that the Adtrex team had everything covered and even with the last minute team changes for the qualifier they put our minds (and the girls) very much at ease.

    So thank you so much.
