ABOUT US

Adtrex, formerly Adventure Training & Expeditions was founded in 2010 out of a passion for adventure and challenge by Scott and Michelle Smith. Both Scott and Michelle are International Mountain Leaders who love nothing more than to go on an adventure and take on a big challenge, climbing some of the highest mountains in the world, racing across the Sahara desert and the frozen arctic wilderness of the Yukon they know how tough expeditions can be but also how very rewarding they can be. Both from a teaching and training background, Scott the military and Michelle a teacher they wanted to share their passion for adventure and challenge with others especially young people. Adtrex focuses on the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition section and the adult training that supports it as we believe this is by far the best youth development expedition programme there is, its progressive, systematic approach ensures that young people are trained, practiced and challenged to develop the skills and knowledge they need to achieve success and become well rounded capable young adults. We also hope that what we do will encourage young people to pursue adventure and challenge post DofE and into adult life.
